The Purpose of the meeting is twofold:

1. The Directors will provide you with some background concerning the SUN organization, formed in 2003. SUN acts as an advocate for seniors, primarily to the Provincial Government (e.g. Alberta Health and Wellness), on issues which affect their quality of life.

2. To provide residents with an opportunity to inform the SUN directors of any specific and/or general concerns regarding health and medical care, transportation, housing options ( e.g. Assisted living, long term care) etc.

Alberta Seniors United Now is always interested in increasing its membership, to add to the more than 2000 current members. The larger the membership, the greater the impact when we present our concerns to the Government. Expressed in another form "there is strength in numbers"!!!
