SUNBURST 5
Welcome to the 5th issue of SUNBURST and thank you for your continuing support. The more organized and active we become, the more we see what needs to be done. This newsletter does not begin to allow us to adequately report on SUN’s many activities throughout the province. However, we shall try to present the highlights and the lowlights and generally be informative as possible. We encourage members to attend SUN functions.

SUNBURST 4
Welcome to the 4th issue of SUNBURST and thank you for your continuing support. The majority of our activity since the October 2004 issue has been focused on the November 22, 2004 provincial general election. Not surprisingly, interpretation of the results has been numerous with each political party trying to sell their own particular spin. The general consensus seems to be that although the Progressive Conservatives were not hit between the eyes with the proverbial 2”x4”, they did receive a hard knock on the knuckles. Even though we feel we did get their attention, i.e. restoration of AHC Premiums, this does not mean that we have accomplished our goal. It simply means that perhaps now we can begin some meaningful dialogue.

SUNBURST 2
Greetings!
Welcome to the second issue of the Seniors United Now newsletter
“Sunburst”. SUN continues to represent Seniors in Alberta and we hope
this letter finds you in good health and good spirits. Thank you for your
continued support, together we can influence decisions affecting the quality
of life for Seniors. In communicating to it’s membership, SUN is trying to
minimize costs, hence the newsletter is only available a few times a year, as
it costs $5000 per mailing. If you have access to the internet or have an email
address, this will save us distribution costs. Please send us an email to inform us of
your email address. If you don’t have access to email or the internet we will
still continue to mail the newsletter directly to your home address.

SENIORS UNITED NOW continues to function on your behalf and following a period of start up
organizational concerns SUN is now poised to greatly increase its level of activity and profile.
We would like to thank all members for their support and efforts, particularly those that envisioned such an
organization and had the conviction to see it through the initial turmoil common to most new organizations.
