S.U.N. CONTINUES TO GROW STRONGER

:  Seniors United Now, the organization aiming at the re-establishment of Alberta Seniors benefits, will launch its fall meeting schedule and membership drive on September 10 at the Scona Drop-in Centre in Edmonton, President Ron Ellis has announced.

Other rallies are scheduled at Lac La Biche, Westlock, Brooks, Lethbridge, Claresholm, Devon and in the Calder district of Edmonton. Six more rallies are in the planning stage.

The meetings are held by local Seniors organizations but S.U.N. provides speakers who explain the group’s objectives.

The spring campaign comprised five meetings which were attended by a total of 380 seniors and increased S.U.N. membership by about 200. Total membership is now 5,618.

Local groups wishing to hear S.U.N. speakers should contact the society’s office at 780-449-1816.
