Wayne worked for Alberta Transportation and Utilities for 30 years, the Alberta Construction Safety Association for six years and formed and operated his own consulting company for five years.
Some of his work positions were Chief Draftsman, Occupational Health and Safety Officer and Construction Industry trainer. Wayne obtained his U of A Occupational Health and Safety Certificate in 1992.
Wayne and his wife Margaret have 2 Sons and six grandchildren and enjoy watching them in their activities. He has coached many hockey and soccer teams and was instrumental in forming the Summer Village of Birch Cove. He served on the village council for 6 years.
Wayne’s hobbies include golf, painting, auto body work and other lake activities.
Wayne joined SUN in 2012, joining the Provincial Board in 2013. Prior to becoming involved with the SUN, He was also a Director of Alberta Society for Pension Reform. Wayne has been a Board member in various roles and is excited about the new challenge as President.
Currently Wayne is also the Chapter Chairperson for the North Edmonton SUN Chapter.
